Our LSL Communication support workers
LSL access Ltd ensuring that our Communication Support Workers and freelance have general work experience of working with deaf and certificate in Sign Language or equivalent sign as first language/native user and fluently in both languages LSL/BSL (usually Deaf), all CSWs registered with us have been interviewed so that we can offer the best person to suit your needs and hold a current DBS Enhanced Disclosure/PVG licenced.
We are Deaf-run, Deaf-led, Deaf LSL users that invest back into the Deaf community.
We're hiring a support worker
​If you secure funding for a LSL communication support worker from AtW, there are several ways you choice them.
You may choose a LSL communication support workers from LSL access Ltd or
LSL access Ltd is happy employing your friends or relatives to be part of the team for you too as long as they can provide the type of support you need (have the appropriate LSL level of fluency, there should be a minimum standard of level or proven skills at interview),
there are not enough LSL communication support in the UK to meet the demand.
The advantages are that you may choose a support worker that you know and you could consider friends, family or a wider and flexibility and a good working relationship.
In which case you will need to check with the AtW Advisor if this is a possibility.
With your AtW Adviser you will need to estimate how many hours per week you will need a support worker.
